Mae Anderson papers
Mae Anderson grew up in Monmouth, Illinois. She attended Augustana College in Rock Island between 1918 and 1925 and obtained a degree in English. The Mae Anderson papers, 1900-1925, consists of newspaper clippings and a scrapbook.
Astronomy notebook
The astronomy notebook, circa 1880s, contains definitions of astronomical and other scientific terminology, mathematical equations, longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates, drawings, figures, triangulations, word problems, and other notes, presumably produced in an astronomy class at Augustana College. Nothing is known about its provenance.
Augustana College academic papers and theses
The Augustana College academic papers and theses, 1877-2024 and undated, was assembled by Special Collections staff for the purpose of keeping academic and scholarly works by Augustana faculty and students together. The collection contains academic papers, master's theses, sermons, speeches, undergraduate papers submitted for academic credit, prize winning papers, independent projects, and proceedings of the annual Celebration of Learning.
Augustana College Social Committee records
The Augustana College Social Committee was organized in 1937, replacing the former Board of Control of Social Activities. The group claimed to "ignore organizational frontiers, including all students in its plans." The committee planned numerous all-school social events throughout the school year, including Halloween and Christmas parties as well as a Spring picnic. This collection contains the group's meeting minutes from 1937 to 1948.

The Augustana Political Club, active from 1911 to 1913, began with the support of 20 students who hoped to increase awareness of politics on campus. The Political Club records, 1911-1912, contains the club's foundational documents, including a proposal letter, 6 November 1911, and the club's January 1912 constitution.
Augustana College Science Club records
The Augustana College Science Club was a student organization founded 7 May 1909, according to the 1910 Rockety-I yearbook, "for the purpose of promoting the study of the natural sciences." The Augustana College Science Club records, 1922-1924 and undated, consists primarily of correspondence concerning the purchase and payment of the Science Bulletin for club members, financial records, and a few scientific articles.
